A portion of the walkway east of Notre Dame Avenue will be closed April 24 through May 5.
Facilities Design and Operations has scheduled exterior maintenance to Grace Hall to start on Wednesday, April 12. This will include the following:
- Masonry restoration
- Removal of existing roofing system
- Installation of new roof
- Completion time of approximately 3 1/2 to four months.
To begin the masonry restoration, the crane will be set-up at the northeast corner of the building to hoist equipment/materials up to the roof. Contractor personnel will be onsite to direct pedestrians safely around this area. This should take approximately four hours.
DeBartolo Hall’s north and east entrances and north loading dock will be closed as well as the walkways between DeBartolo and Duncan Student Center. Pedestrian traffic will be re-routed to the east side of DeBartolo Hall, facing Eck Hall of Law and McKenna Hall.
A portion of Holy Cross Drive will be closed on Tuesday, March 28, between the Holy Cross/Eddy Street intersection and the entrance to the Legends parking lot.
Beginning March 20, the Exit 77 (State Road 933/Douglas Road) interchange on the Indiana Toll Road will be closed for re-paving. The project is expected to last through April 10.
Due to Jenkins Hall construction, the walkway between the worksite and the Hesburgh Center for International Studies will be closed through mid-April.
Beginning Wednesday, March 1, Moose Krause Circle will undergo a reconfiguration related to the Campus Crossroads Project.
The road construction will be implemented in three phases to minimize the impact on vehicular and pedestrian traffic.

Campus Dining, in partnership with Student Government, Student Activities, Student Affairs and Facilities Design and Operations, began the renovation of North Dining Hall (NDH) on Monday, October 17, 2016. Completion of the project is anticipated by the beginning of the 2017 fall semester.
What does the North Dining Hall renovation include?The dining hall will remain open while academic classes are in session throughout the fall and spring semesters. Because of the extensive work and compressed timeline, the dining hall will be totally shut down during the University’s winter break and after final exams in May. See the detailed timeline here.
Starting on Monday, Oct. 31, the parking lot at the corner of N. Eddy Street and Holy Cross Drive will be permanently closed to build the new Walsh Family Hall School of Architecture. Sidewalks along the east side of N. Eddy St. and the south side of Holy Cross Dr. will be closed for construction. See the attached map for details.
The south portion of Corby Drive, just west of Sorin Hall, will be closed on Monday and Tuesday, Oct. 17 and 18, for utility work associated with the renovation of Walsh Hall.
Traffic requiring access to the Basilica, Sorin Hall and Walsh Hall will need to divert to the North portion of Corby Drive, just in front of Corby Hall, during this time.
On Monday, July 25, 2016, work began on the construction of the Ricci Family Fields and geothermal well field project. The project is at the north end of campus immediately west of the Stinson Rugby field near Stepan Center. The project will involve a phased excavation of the site, drilling of approximately 679 geothermal wells, the construction of three new synthetic turf fields, and construction of a new support building for use by the Notre Dame Marching Band.…

Walkways along the east entrance of Fitzpatrick Hall will be removed (and ultimately replaced), to allow for the installation of a waterproofing system for the two basement floors that extend past the edge of the building.
This phase will begin Monday, July 4, and conclude by mid-August.
Beginning Monday, June 20, Eddy Street will be closed to traffic between Holy Cross Drive and Moose Krause Circle. In addition, a walkway east of the Jenkins Hall and Nanovic Hall worksite that leads to the Hesburgh Center for International Studies will be closed beginning Tuesday, June 21.
Leahy Drive will be closed from Edison Road/Angela Boulevard to just south of Compton Family Ice Arena lot from 7 a.m. on Monday, June 13, until 5 p.m. on Saturday, June 18. All traffic will be detoured to Joyce Drive or along Holy Cross Drive.
Underground work will be done to connect the water supply from the west side of Leahy Drive to the new Harris Track and Field Stadium.

Parking in the Hesburgh Library circle will be temporarily disrupted by ongoing construction beginning Monday, June 6. Parking spaces on the east side of the circle will be unavailable. Drivers will still have access to spaces on the west side of the circle.
On Wednesday, June 8, parking access will shift in the B2 library lot (see map) as construction associated with the McCourtney Hall research facility enters a new phase. Drivers will regain access to parking spaces in the lot’s northeast section, at the corner of Bulla Road and Leahy Drive. The east portion of the lot along Leahy Drive will be closed through Tuesday, July 5.

Elevator Construction – Temporary Elevator Shut Downs

Construction work related to the Campus Crossroads Project will result in limited parking at Legends restaurant beginning April 4.
Only a small amount of non-delivery access will be available in the lot, just south of the restaurant, through May 11. Alternate parking is available in the adjacent B and C lots.
In order to replace a boiler economizer at the Power Plant, Holy Cross Drive will have restricted traffic and be closed per the schedule below. Access to all campus facilities will continue, but traffic patterns may need to be adjusted.
Complete closure of Holy Cross Drive is planned for 24 hours starting at 6 a.m. on Wednesday, March 9, with a projected end no later than 6 a.m., March 10. Single lane traffic will be available the balance of the week from Monday, March 7, at 8:30 a.m. until Friday, March 11, at 8:30 p.m.
